How to Contribute to the Wiki

Welcome to Reddy Archives — a community-driven encyclopaedia preserving the heritage, history, and genealogy of the Reddy community. Anyone who cares about this history can contribute and help us grow this living record.

Who Can Contribute?

Anyone with an interest in preserving our history is welcome. Whether you are adding your own family's surname, documenting a notable figure, or expanding our understanding of the 14 subcaste houses, your contribution is valuable.

Creating an Account

To write or edit articles, you must first create a free contributor account:

  1. Head to the Contributor Studio and click Create Account.
  2. Fill in your display name, email address, and a secure password.
  3. By default, your account will be assigned the Editor role, which lets you submit articles and edit requests for review.

Submission Guidelines

  • Accuracy is paramount. Provide sources and citations where possible.
  • Maintain a neutral, encyclopaedic tone. Avoid personal opinions or promotional language.
  • Use the correct category. Choose from: History, Subcaste, Genealogy, Rituals, or General.
  • Write in the Quill editor available in the Studio — it supports rich text formatting including headings, bullet lists, bold, italic, and hyperlinks.

The Review Process

All new submissions and edit proposals go through a moderation queue:

  1. You submit an article or a change request from the Studio.
  2. A Moderator from our editorial team reviews the submission for accuracy, tone, and quality.
  3. Once approved, your content goes live immediately. You will be credited as the author.
